Have you seen the movie Coco by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina? In that movie we can see animated Alebrijes, wonderful hybrid animals that act as our spirit guides during our life and after! There are Mexican artisans experts in making colorful and beautiful wooden alebrijes! In this 8 session drawing, clay, and painting workshop; we will practice different ways to draw some of our favorite animals to give shape to unique Alebrijes. We will use the strength and flexibility of our hands to kneed the clay and then our fine motor skills to carve and paint our fantastic Alebrijes.
